Resort Activities & FacilitiesSwimming - Our beach is of natural sand that
continues far into the water. A marked off swimming area, raft, gradual slope and no drop
offs make it an excellent spot for adults and children to swim and sunbathe. Fishing - Pelican Lake is about 2 miles long by 3/4 mile wide with an irregular shoreline and many bays that afford calm fishing as well as natural spawning areas. Walleye and crappie fishing is best early in the season. Northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish & bullheads are active all season long. An inside fish cleaning house is available. Boating - Our customers can launch their own boats free of charge. We have a designated taking off area for water skiing. Sorry, personal watercraft are not allowed. |

LocationGreen Valley Resort is just a two hour drive northwest of the edge of the Twin Cities. Take I-94 to the Sauk Center exit. Take State Highway 28, which is a smooth two lane road with wide shoulders, to Glenwood. At the stop light (the only one in Pope County) continue on Hwy 28 around the north side of Lake Minnewaska toward Starbuck. About 2 and 1/2 miles from Glenwood, turn right on Pelican Lake Road. Turn right again at the next blacktop road and follow it as it curves until you come to the store at Green Valley Resort. |
